Celebrating 5 years, welcome to our new website.

Are appointments complimentary?

The first Intro-call and/or First Store Visit is complimentary.

We value your time and ours! Due to limited availability (we’re wholesalers at heart) we have for local and fly-in clients, we ask for a non-refundable $350 USD deposit to source gemstones in, and/or to start design work. This deposit is non-refundable entirely applicable towards your existing or next purchase. For multiple gemstone showings towards the same purchase (aka, we’re shipping diamonds in beyond the first showing), we charge $100 extra per showing (covers shipping).

We recommend clients to:

  • Know the gemstone type and shape you might like.
  • Know the (or have examples of) type of jewelry settings you like depending on the type of jewelry you are purchasing.
  • Know their general budget range (For all custom-made orders, quotes start a $1,000 minimum and for all Assembled and Made-to-Order purchases, quotes start at $500. In-stock and ready-to-ship orders do not have minimums).
  • Know the general idea of their timeline and when they need the product completed.

Are jewelry appraisals refundable?

Jewelry appraisals are not refundable. When the return is accepted, the appraisal is void along with its validity. The cost of the appraisal ($100) will be deducted from the refund if an appraisal was included in your original purchase complimentary.

Are there shipping charges for repairs?

Yes. If you are mailing in a repair, roundtrip shipping charges will be calculated at checkout. You can also purchase insurance on the shipment. We do not refund shipping charges once a label is purchased.

Are there shipping fees?

We offer a variety of shipping options for a calculated rate for purchases under $1,000. You can also purchase insurance at checkout for online orders or email us at care@www.zazzybox.com for in-store or custom orders.

We offer complimentary insured shipping on purchases exceeding $1,000 for US deliveries. All insured shipments require a signature.

Are you available outside of your business hours?

Alternate Addresses: If you prefer your package to be shipped to a location other than your primary residence, Zazzy Box is able to ship the order to another destination. Please note that, regardless of the location the package is shipped to, you will need to be at the location to sign-off on the order. As a precautionary measure, all shipments made to addresses other than your billing address for orders placed on www.zazzybox.com will need confirmation from your bank, credit card, or financing company. Calling one of these institutions ahead of time can help us expedite the order. Note: we are not responsible for lost or missing orders due to an incorrect shipping address provided.

Alternate Shipping: Zazzy Box can accommodate requests for shipping services other than FedEx and UPS. All charges for requested shipping services are charged to the client with a $10 handling charge in addition to the carrier’s quoted charge and insurance (if requested or advised). Please note that on orders that offer complimentary shipping, alternative provider costs are not complimentary and will be charged to the customer.

Can I upgrade my diamond or gemstone after purchase?

We do not offer upgrade schemes like other retailers and jewelers. Most jewelers who offer this mark up either the first purchase, upgraded purchase, or both to accommodate the upgrade. They also extend many stipulations for upgrading a stone (for instance, the new purchase must be at least double the original).

We extended market competitive prices on all gemstones. We can, however, offer to buy-back on your diamond or gemstone after the return period expires. You can use that credit towards a new purchase or receive a check if you accept the offer. Most buy-back offers are lower, if not significantly lower, than the original purchase price (for lab-grown diamonds and gemstones they are very low or often, we do not offer a buy-back price on them).

Can I visit without appointment?

Due to security concerns and our personalized custom-experience, we do not accept walk-ins. Contact our team at care@www.zazzybox.com, via social media, or a team member directly to visit our store.

We offer Zazzy One, a limited warranty on qualifying purchases.

Zazzy One is a complimentary plan for assembled, custom, and made-to-order purchases that addresses refinishing and repairs on fine jewelry purchases exceeding $1,000 that are the result of normal wear or manufacturing defects for up to 1 year after the purchase date.

The service plan includes:

  1. One complimentary ring sizing for up to 2 sizes larger or smaller within the first (1) year of the purchase date for most rings.
  2. Replacement of small natural or lab-grown white round accent stones weighing no more than 0.10 carats.
  3. A complimentary annual service that checks and tightens loose stones and polishes, refinishes, and rhodium re-plates qualifying items.

Disclaimers

  • Some rings cannot be resized and/or have a limited range within which the ring can be resized. Contact care@www.zazzybox.com and a member of our team will be happy to assist you.
  • If you surpass this timeline or your ring does not qualify for re-sizing, you can visit the repairs section of our website and place an order for resizing or remaking for a fee. This does not include other shapes or gemstones.
  • Zazzy One does not service jewelry that has been repaired or altered by another jeweler.
  • The plan is void if we identify a third-party jeweler has participated in altering or repairing the jewelry.
  • We do not replace center stones that fall out – please purchase jewelry insurance and carefully review your respective providers requirements for further information on this.

If we determine that the damage is not caused by a manufacturing defect, then we will notify you if repair services are available at cost or otherwise. Please note that there may be slight variations in craftsmanship or natural characteristics, or internal inclusions, visible or otherwise, in colored gemstones which are unique and individual to each item. The characteristic is considered as part of the character of the item and should not be considered a defect.

Please Note

Fine jewelry is not impervious to normal wear, activities, or trauma. This is especially true for fine jewelry that is worn on a daily basis. We do not provide warranties for damage due to normal wear, loss of stones, or theft. Damage or loss that result from failure to obtain the repairs necessary to maintain the integrity of the product are also not covered. While we offer this 30-day promise to products sold by Zazzy Box, a few exclusions apply:

Examples of common fine jewelry issues that would not be considered manufacturing defects include, but are not limited to:

  1. Discoloration due to exposure to chemicals, make-up, swimming pools, hot tubs, or bathing.
  2. Prongs and precious metals, in general, wear over time and may require “building up” or restoration or normal wear.
  3. Bent, caught, or worn out prongs allowing a stone to fall out due to normal wear or other damage.
  4. Lost stone or a stone that has fallen out due to chipping or breaking caused by normal wear or damage. For custom-designed fine jewelry.
  5. For jewelry purchased as a final sale or for jewelry that was pre-owned
  6. For diamonds and gemstones that are marked “nonrefundable” or “special import”.

How and when do I get a refund?

We do our best to approve refunds within a 3-5 days of receiving the items but it can take up to 10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original form of payment within 10 business days post-acceptance. If the original payment method was not a credit or debit card, we will issue a check which may be picked up in-store (Houston) or mailed within 10 days. We also offer store credit or a gift card for refunds which can be requested before the refund is issued.

How do I get my ring size?

Great question!

You can purchase a ring-sizing kit on Amazon. For in-store visits, we are happy to help you identify your ring size with our kits.

Ring sizes may change depending on your body temperature at the time your finger is sized. During the winter months your ring size may be thinner and during the summer (warmer) months your ring size may be bigger.

Contact care@www.zazzybox.com for more help!

How does the design process work?

We can help you design custom fine jewelry! Depending on the creativity employed, we draw, digitally design, and render the piece for you. And yes – the process is iterative. This means that we welcome edits, feedback, and changes. We ask for a $350 non-refundable deposit that is applied towards your purchase.

How long do jewelry repairs and servicing requests take?

After receiving the jewelry, repairs and services take a minimum of 2 business days to address. However, for complex repairs delivery timelines can be as long as 21 business days. After accepting the repair or jewelry servicing request, our team will provided you with an approximated timeline and adjusted quote (if the cost is higher than originally accepted). Please note that between October 1st – February 15th, our timelines may be longer.

How long does a custom project take to deliver?

Orders accepted between February 15 and September 30: Orders accepted during these months typically take 2-4 weeks to produce. Complicated designs and projects can take up to 6 weeks to produce.

Orders accepted between October 1 and February 14 (Busy Season): Orders accepted during these months typically take 3-6 weeks to produce. Complicated designs and projects can take up to 6 weeks to produce.

How long will it take for your team to follow up to my inquiry?

Please allow 2-7 business days.

How much does custom fine jewelry typically cost?

We accept custom fine jewelry projects that are quoted at a minimum of $1,000. Costs for custom projects vary and can be cheaper, at market price, or can cost more than ready-made jewelry. Costs vary on materials used, timelines, and the unique-ness of your request.

How often is your inventory updated?

We update our inventory daily during normal business hours by 5:00 PM Central Standard Time. Certain items – like diamonds – may or may not be available by the end of the day as a result of ongoing business activity.

How should I package a return?

Whether you are returning a purchase of $20 or $20,000, exercise care when packaging a return. Do not use descriptive markings like “diamond, jewelry, or gemstone” on the package or return label (this helps avoid theft). We recommend that you use the original box if intact or that you visit a local shipment store for a padded envelope or shipment box. Please include all appraisals, certificates, and packaging that was mailed along with your purchase. Double-box/package and securely tape the return. Missing and damaged items will be deducted from the return.

I saw a diamond available on your website that is available at another retailer. Why is that?

If you see the same diamond or gemstone (as noted by the certificate number) available on our private vault on another website, we may be affiliated with a similar supplier or may own the merchandise and have it available for sale with other companies. Our products are available on multiple selling channels and whenever possible, we are happy to match prices.

Is a signature required upon delivery?

For insured-shipments, a signature is typically required on delivery. Most signature deliveries are before noon in your timezone.

Is Zazzy Box an authorized watch dealer?

Zazzy Box is not an authorized watch dealer.

What are final sale items?

All items that have been modified, engraved, or custom made are considered final sale and are not returnable. Any item marked “on final sale” or “on auction” are final sale items.

What are manufacturing minimums?

While our design and manufacturing team can practically produce any type of fine jewelry, we require all assembled, custom, and made to order projects to adhere to manufacturing quality standards. If requests are made that fall out of our recommended guidelines, we ask clients to sign a disclosure that dismisses the project from limited warranties.

What are the differences between ATO, Catalog, Custom, MTO and Stock orders?

ATO, Catalog, Custom, MTO, and stock orders all refer to the different processes we use to produce jewelry. Below are the differences:

Assembled to Order (ATO): These are orders that do not require a digital or hand drawing. They involve assembling different parts together to build an item.

Catalog: These are orders from our catalog or a partner catalog. Catalog items are often cheaper and have more flexible return policies.

Custom: These are orders that require an original, unique jewelry design. These are non-refundable and often take longer than the alternative options.

Made-to-Order (MTO): These are orders that are built from a past jewelry design, assuming a few modifications. They are non-refundable, but take less time to complete than custom-produced items.

Pre-owned/Pre-Loved/Antique: This is jewelry that was sold to us and worn before. Whether on consignment or owned by us, pre-owned jewelry will always be marked. They are often considerably cheaper than building a new item and once polished, are as-good-as-new.

Stock: These are new, in-stock jewelry items. They are typically available on-demand (if in-stock) and have the most flexible return policies.

Each process varies in the applicable return policies, costs, and timelines. Be sure to ask our team or check online listings for more information. Reach out to care@www.zazzybox.com for further questions.

What can you make in custom fine jewelry and are there minimums?

We can design and produce fine jewelry that includes Silver, 10K – 22K Gold, and Platinum and any natural or synthetic diamond or gemstone. To produce custom fine jewelry, we require estimates to be at a minimum of $1,000.

What fonts and languages can I get the engravings in?

We have a select variety of fonts and languages. Email care@www.zazzybox.com for a list.

What forms of payments does we accept?

Please reference our Zazzy Box Forms of Payment Chart. Email care@www.zazzybox.com for more information. Our payments methods are updated quarterly and are subject to change at anytime.

What happens if I am having troubles with shipping (tracking, lost packages, attempted deliveries, theft, etc.)?

We do our best to securely and safely ship packages. Some of the steps we take include: discreetly packaging items using unbranded exterior boxes and envelopes, requesting signatures on insured deliveries, and using trusted shipping services. We provide tracking numbers at the time of shipment.

Zazzy Box is not liable for any issues that may occur when the package is in transit such as lost/ damaged packages, delays, incorrect information, and more. We recommend contacting the shipping agency with any inquires regarding a product that was shipped by us. You will be provided with the agency’s name and their contact information can be found online.

A few notes:

  • The status of the shipment can be checked with the shipping agency
  • If there was an attempted delivery you will have to reschedule with the shipping agency
  • Shipping carriers do experience delays and we can only see the same information as you, so we recommend you to contacting the shipping company for more information
  • If you provided an incorrect shipping address or need to make a change, please contact the shipping agent

What if I can’t visit Zazzy in-store?

No problem! We know that the process of being fine jewelry can be daunting and intimidating. Our team has worked hard to curate videos, information, and dialogues that help guide you. For virtual purchases, we are particularly trained to offer you a fully transparent and visual experience.

What if I misplace the original certificate (EGL, GIA, HRD, IGI, etc.) associated with the gemstone?

Losing a gemstone certificate can be costly. Re-certifying gemstones are an expensive process and we risk the respective agency offering a different evaluation than the original certificate. If your purchase included a gemstone certificate (example: EGL, GIA, HRD, IGI) and it is not returned, the replacement costs of gemstone certificates will be deducted from the refund. Costs for lost certificates can be found by clicking here and are updated quarterly.

What if I want to make a change to my custom order?

We can accept changes before the order is produced. After the order has started production, modifications and changes, if accepted, are accommodated for a fee. These fees can sometimes be high – we recommend confirming everything before producing the item!

What is a 3D model or wax?

After you approve the design, we produce a model wax, if needed, to confirm that you are 100% confident with the item. We mail one wax complimentary or they can be picked up in store. Waxes are not used to confirm ring sizing.

What is custom-made and made-to-order fine jewelry?

Gemstone aficionado’s at heart, we invest our capital in stocking a large, moving inventory of natural and lab-grown diamonds and gemstones.

To produce fine jewelry, we adopt a custom-made or made-to-order process. These terms mean that the majority of our fine jewelry is made on-demand. Products we list on our website and on third-party market places are often assembled on-demand or custom-made. We are gradually releasing a unique, small-quantity collection of stocked fine jewelry. This strategy allows us to adapt our product line as style trends change, hand-craft every product, and extend competitive prices to clients globally.

What is the difference between Zazzy Box and other jewelry stores?

In 2018, Zazzy Box, a family-owned and self-funded company, opened its doors to offer exquisite fine jewelry services to the public. Drawing on five generations of luxury goods experience and nearly 40 years of expertise in diamond and gold trades, we began our journey. Our core skill-set lies in sourcing natural and lab-grown diamonds and gemstones and acquiring antique and collector’s pieces. Our aim is to bring exceptional value to our customers through bespoke hand-crafted fine jewelry, each piece crafted with care and precision to deliver an unforgettable experience.

What is the process for making custom fine jewelry?

We’re glad you asked! We specialize in custom fine jewelry. The entire process can take anywhere between 3 business days to 8 weeks to complete depending on the complexity of the project.

Below is the process:

  1. Schedule a consultation with us, either virtually or in person. You can also reach out to us via email at care@www.zazzybox.com. If you are a new client, we may ask for a government-issued photo ID for validation purposes.
  2. During the consultation, we will discuss your budget, timeline, and design preferences.
  3. If needed, we will show you diamond and gemstone options or provide them to you via text or email.
  4. Once the gemstone is confirmed, we will ask for a $350 non-refundable design deposit and begin sketching and designing your piece. If a gemstone is being sourced specifically for you, we require full payment before designing the piece.
  5. After finalizing the design, we will produce a 3-D wax model (if needed) to confirm the order.
  6. Once the wax is approved, we will send you an invoice and ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit to produce the item. For orders over $30,000, we require full payment before production. The production time can vary between 3 business days to 8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the project and time of year. We will keep you updated on the progress and provide you with an estimated delivery date.
  7. Two business days before the project is ready for shipment or pick up, we will notify you to arrange for your final payment (if necessary). We will send you a calendar to schedule a pick-up appointment or ship an insured package via FedEx.

What is your return policy?

Our return policies vary depending on the type of items or service purchased.

Jewelry items: We accept returns on qualified items that are returned within 30-days of delivery.

Our 30-day return policy applies to select catalog items available on www.zazzybox.com as well as third-party marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, and Etsy. All items available for sale on www.zazzybox.com clarify if the 30-day return policy applies. Items that are available for auction, customized, engraved, monogrammed, or modified beyond the available options, or are marked final sale are not qualified for 30-day returns.

Loose diamonds and gemstones: We accept qualified returns on loose natural or lab grown diamonds and gemstones that are purchased independently of fine jewelry within 7 days of the item being delivered to you. If it is imported, part of a custom project, purchased for more than $20,000, or special-ordered for you, the item is not qualified for a return.

Please note for all returns: Items must be in their original condition without signs of alternations, damage, and/or wear. Items returned by mail or in-store must be delivered with all original packaging (appraisals, bags/boxes, certificates, paperwork, and promotional items included). All items will be inspected for authenticity, and if an item is returned in an unhygienic state, a restocking fee will be deducted from the return.

The following items are NOT eligible for a return:
  • Custom-made and modified fine jewelry
  • Engraved and monogrammed items
  • Gift cards
  • Items on auction
  • Items marked as a final sale at the time of purchase
  • Items marked as antique or collectors
  • Jewelry appraisals
  • Jewelry repairs and related services
  • Loose natural and lab grown diamonds and gemstones sold as a part of a custom piece or imported or special ordered for you (out of our available stock)
  • Referral credits

What is Zazzy Box and what do we sell?

Zazzy Box is a family-owned American fine jewelry store. Born from over 5 generations of luxury-goods experience, we were founded in 2018 to connect retailers to Houston’s wholesale diamond market. Since then, we have matured our fine jewelry offerings attracting clients worldwide. Our products and services will involve some form of fine jewelry (Silver, 10K – 24K Gold, and/or Platinum) and natural and lab-grown gemstones. We own the majority of gemstones we sell and most custom-made fine jewelry is produced in the United States and at our global manufacturing sites by trusted, experienced jewelers.

What kind of jewelry can you repair?

We repair most fine jewelry made of Silver, 10K – 24K gold, and/or Platinum. We do not repair Kundan (South Asian fine jewelry sets), fine jewelry made in Palladium, or watches.

Where are the custom orders made?

Custom orders are made with trusted jewelers in the United States (mostly Houston). We value top-quality craftsmanship and are particular about the jewelers and designers we partner with. Wherever we can, we opt for American-made manufacturing.

Where can I learn more about and/or purchase jewelry insurance?

We recommend all clients to insure their fine jewelry purchase. Typically, insurance companies request for a jewelry appraisal, which are complimentary with qualifying purchases or can be purchased independently. We refer clients to Nerd Wallet’s informative article on all things jewelry insurance.

Where can we buy Zazzy Box jewelry?

You can schedule an appointment to visit our store in Houston, TX or meet with our team virtually, buy ready-made jewelry on this website, and through third party channels including Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Instagram, and Facebook, or visit a pop-up shop.

Where is Zazzy Box located and what are the business hours?
